어릴 때부터 잠을 잘때 방에 불을 켜 놓는 것이 습관이 되어 불을 끄고는 자지 못하는 분들 계신데요.
밤에 불을 켜고 자는 습관은 우리 몸에 좋지 않은 결과를 초래할 수 있습니다.
한 조사에 따르면 밤에 불을 켜 놓고 잘 경우 잠잘 때 분비되는 호르몬인 멜라토닌의 분비가 억제되어
깊은 잠을 자지 못할 뿐만 아니라 뇌의 기능이 떨어진다고 합니다.
멜라토닌은 수면 유도 호르몬으로 뇌 속에는 이를 조절하는 중추가 있는데 이 중추는 약한 빛에도 멜라토닌 분비를 억제할 정도록 민감하다고 합니다.
멜라토닌이 제대로 분비되지 않으면 노화와 질병을 초래할 수 있으며 숙면을 취하기 어려워질 수 있습니다.
멜라토닌이 제대로 생성, 분비되는 것은 노화와 질병 예방을 위해 매우 중요한 부분입니다.
삶의 질을 저하시키는 난청 역시 ‘귀의 노화’가 원인이 되기도 합니다.
